NOTES
[1] Vagi 571: 3384 & 3389 indicates that there are tokens with Serapis and also with Sol-Serapis on the reverse.
[2] Vagi 5712: 3399 indicates that there are tokens with Serapis and also with Isis on the reverse.
[3] See token N. 368 shown below. Alföldi does not describe this token, which Cohen VIII p. 66 had already cataloged with No. 9 Vagi 572: 3415 indicates that there is Sol-Serapis reverse.
[4] Cohen VIII 66: 9 describes this reverse as "femme" and Cayón IV p. 2653: 3 says "África".
[5] Alföldi 88: 227 says it's Isis but puts a question mark.
[6] Alföldi 88: 320 says it´s Serapis but puts a question mark.
[7] See token N. 346 shown below. "Tesorillo 3b/4".
[8] Alföldi 83: 261 says "Isis or Serapis".
[9] Doubtful token. Vagi 571: 3384 indicates that there are AE4 with obverse of Serapis and reverse of Sol-Serapis, but no other author mentions it and we have not found it.
[10] Cohen VIII 71: 30 describes this reverse as "Sérapis".

Author note

As seen in the previous notes, sometimes it is difficult to find out if the figure on the reverse is Sol-Serapis, Serapis or Isis, the different authors do not agree. In any case, to facilitate cataloging, we have divided this type into three: 3a (Serapis), 3b (Isis) and 3c (Sol-Serapis).
